【Something I like recently】
Giving there’s no anime or series or movie that is attractive to me, I think that it is time to find a new interest. I somehow come up with a thing, a very popular thing that many of my friends are crazy about, vtuber.
However, I’ve never thought about it could fit me, because I was far from a so called “Otaku” (People who love anime very much) years ago. Unfortunately, I used to think it’s for a really Otaku to watch it.
Now I know I’m wrong. It just takes me about a week becoming a big fan of it.
Maybe it’s just a sudden idea, maybe it’s a magic of a mysterious YouTube algorithm, I even cannot remember how does it start and when. Just a little click and curiosity, the video starts and I’m immediately caught by those vtuber’s charisma.
The first group I am into is “Luxiem”, a male vtuber group from company Nijisanji EN (にじさんじ EN), and there are 5 members in this group: Vox Akuma, Shu Yamino, Luka Kaneshiro, Ike Eveland and Mysta Rias. Although the most well-known member of Luxiem seems to be Vox Akuma, also known as their leader, I guess my favorite member in Luxiem is Ike Eveland, an Swede guy with cute voice.
The main reason of why I like Ike Eveland is his appearance. Well, I mean, his characteristic can afford the vtuber skin that his company gives to him. According to the setting he’s a famous writer, and he is a well-educated, tender person who could always comfort my heart. The way he talks, the soft tone of his voice, and the wisdom in his interacts with the viewer, those behaviors makes view him as a decent person, bringing you an image of “Ike Eveland”, and eventually makes me believe this image, taking it as an adorable artist.
I guess that’s why a vtuber can be attractive for people. They bring people a wonderful images and dreams, and people laugh with them, being sad with them, having the same emotion with them just like they’re friends. Moreover, sometimes they are not just an image, but more like a man who have advantages and shortcomings, a living man with sense. Such ambiguous boundaries between its skin and its humanity could be amazing, especially when you find they’re humanity and vivid.
